Elytra

This little piece, which got its name from the wings of the beetles, was created from a small melody exercise. It is deliberately kept uncomplicated and is ideal as a short open-air piece for the intermediate level.

Orchestra-Sonate No. 1 – The Dreamlike

The orchestra sonata was created on the occasion of the youth music camp 2019 of the BVBW, to which I was invited as conductor and composer together with Dirk Mattes and Dominik Wagner. The piece, which is characterized by the late romantic style, follows the sonata form in a broad sense. Although it is not particularly difficult in itself, the numerous open passages and rapid changes in tempo require most players to play at an advanced level.

Red Eye

After a long time collecting impressions and ideas for a first piece in a “own” style, Red Eye was created within 3 weeks. The piece demands a massive orchestra, all of which are excellent players. An analysis of the work was published in the December 2019 issue of WASBE World.
